Do you think she's HAPPY there? For all the emphasis on being happy, joyous and free, my impression was that none of those adjectives applied to Sharon.
Instead I would choose words like harsh, sharp and shrewd to describe her.
Sharon might be living at The Plaza but her "old" apartment on 12th street is STILL on the market.

A bitter divorce between a Broadway star's daughter and a gay architect has taken a shocking turn, with her lawyer calling for a probe of the sale of their East Village town house.
The house, valued at $10 million, went for a "fire-sale" $7.5 million after husband Malcolm Kaye drove down the price to reduce Ilsa Kaye's take, according to the wife's attorney, Tom Shanahan. The wife of Malcolm's lawyer, Robert Dobrish, secretly tried to snap it up for $5.5 million, Shanahan said.
The wife, Elizabeth Roxas, was told to back off by the judge but re-bid on the property in a scheme backed by the court-appointed receiver, Shanahan said during court proceedings.
An outsider eventually bought the house, but the ploy "took food out of the mouths of the children" of Ilsa because the property went for millions less than it was worth, Shanahan said.
The case, settled in 2005, gained notoriety after The Post revealed that Dobrish had been business partners with all four court-appointed experts.
Plus, after Malcolm Kaye announced during the trial that he was gay, Ilsa Kaye, whose mom, Sharon Gans, starred in "Hair," got custody of their two kids.
The first judge, Judith Gische, ordered Ilsa to sell the house within six months and give Malcolm $2.2 million. But Malcolm's side posted the ruling online, devaluing the property, Shanahan said.
Did Sharon really star in Hair? That's a scary image - I wouldn't want to see her nude, even when she was young!
I have heard it said about the above article that nothing in it is true except that Malcolm is gay. The rest is entirely fiction.

I find it interesting that there
is so little mentioned of Sharon's
"teaching." I can remember a great
deal of what the late Alex Horn
said in relation to Ouspensky and
various other writers he claimed
to represent--but from Sharon I
remember mostly bizarre sex advice--like "Hate and mate." It seems
that her idea of a "teaching"
would be that we all model ourselves on the psychology of the
abusive family.
She said that she had a teacher who died. And who was that?
Her hairdresser? It was not
Bennet or Pentland or deSalzmann.
Maybe it was Oprah--oh, but she is
still alive.
I have a great deal to say from
direct personal observation--
not from hearsay. But I do not

Can anyone respond with related
experiences? Sharon Gans is
a complicated, clever person--
and quite imperfect. She makes
many stupid mistakes through
vanity and greed. She is not easy
to disentangle, but together,
with shared memories and observations, we can deconstruct her.

I think what I mostly remember about her was how she could blast someone, anyone out of the water at her whim. You never knew what she would say. She was always unpredictable. She either hated you or loved you in the moment and I was always petrified of what she might do or say at any moment.
Yes. Hate and Mate. She would also tell people to marry each other. To have a child or not have a child. To adopt a child or give a child away for adoption. To go to Europe for a weekend and get pregnant by someone you didn't know. To divorce your spouse.
To give all your money to her or to give it to a spouse or a fellow student. To buy outrageously expensive gifts for her. And if you didn't do what she said: then off with your head! You were out of school if you crossed her or if you didn't obey her commands (unless you had so much money that she needed you to stay.)
We never talked about "The Work" when she was in class - it was only "personal work" because I don't think she ever read the books or knew anything about them, she just wanted to tell everyone what to do.
There was a Christmas class when she came and did not say a word to anyone and then walked out and we all wondered what we did wrong...
One Christmas class, the only thing she said was that the greatest song of the 20th century was Randy Newman's Sail Away. David played it on the guitar and we all wondered what she meant:are we all here to "just sing about Jesus and drink wine all day".
What else do I remember? Her being drunk ALL the time. I served the teachers and we used to put vodka in their coffee cups. Sharon of course got a balloon wine glass with, mind you, only THREE ice cubes with her vodka. More or less than three ice cubes subjected you to scorn, derision and a good talking to. Ah yes, and her special foods and her special meals - counting the calories, only certain recipes. Special plates and glasses and silverware for the Queen. We would make up several plates for her before hand so she would have a choice. Her special diets. Only the finest most expensive foods for her. She was NEVER served what everyone else was althought sometimes she asked for it.
I could go on and on but it's making me kind of ill thinking about it...

You have helped me with your
recollections. I now see more clearly one of the truly ugly
and insidious techniques used
in the Gans cult. She builds up
emotional dependence (and many
other types of dependence as
well) and then threatens to
exile you from paradise. Think
of what this threat means!
If you have been around for a while, you have a tremendous
amount of time and effort and
money invested in "school." If
you are thrown out, then your
investment has come to nothing.
In addition, Sharon Gans and the
late Alex Horn really knew how
to play the mommy and daddy card.
Perhaps the most evil thing about
Sharon is how KNOWING she is about
that sort of thing.
Furthermore, since the Gans cult
environment isolates you from
normal society, in its economic,
social, and sexual forms, you
are left (in most cases) with
nothing--no money, no social
contacts--and often with no
"mate." It is an act of the most
extreme cruelty and sadism to
threaten someone with exile.
It is remarkable that we do not hear of suicides.
Sharon is a coward who preys on
the weakest. I had money and
social connections so I was not
a safe target for Gans and the
late Horn. I was never, thank God,
invited into the inner sanctum.
They took some of my money, but
I was not good material for
absolute control by way of arranged
marriage.
I do not care about the money. It
took a long time to learn that
Gans and Horn have absolutely
nothing to do with any real
path. I see people using terms
from, say, Ouspensky, which they
heard misused in the Gans cult.
Will they ever know that the
words they are using are associated
in their minds with the cheap
manipulations of Fred Mindel and
Robert Klein and Sharon Gans?
More importamtly--will they ever
know that real groups exist, which
have value and benefit and do
not ask for money?
Sharon Gans is basically an actress
who slept around alot in the 1960's
who brings her limited worldliness
to the spiritual supermarket.

God - this really kills me to hear all of this. If I were to describe my life now and how it's been the last few horrifying years -- the mess that's been made of it because of this group - the irrevocability of some of the things I have done --- yes, it's amazing we don't hear of suicides. Reading this now with some distance it's beyond comprehension how this stuff goes on and how people lose everything to it. When I left I even felt as if I'd failed - those bastards. People are shaking with fear at the thought too many ice cubes in that psycho's drink, yet she's stealing money, lives, and minds of hundreds and walks around entitled. The only thing that gives me peace is hoping she lives in more of a "pain factory" inside that the rest of us -- and that she sees the demons of her deeds on her deathbed.

It took me years to fully see
through Sharon Gans and Fred
Mindel. Long after I had dismissed
them intellectually, Sharon still
loomed over me emotionally, and I
continued to respect Alex Horn.
This is not because the
aforementioned are powerful wizards, but because they
appropriated powerful ideas for
the purpose of robbing, abusing,
controlling, and even sexually
debasing as many people as possible.
I found out that Alex was a drunken
lecher because I fixed him up
with a girlfriend of a girl
I was dating. I was a young guy
and I thought the whole thing was
pretty cool at the time. As it
turns out, the woman he spent the night with was part of a ponzi
scheme. What a perfect match for
the old grifter! As time goes
on, I see him more and more as
a brute--but his wife was the
true poisonous fountain. From your
description, it seems as if she
has shed any semblance of dignity.
The use of the threat of excommunication after the deliberate fostering of emotional
dependence strikes me as the very
core of the Sharon Gans cult.
It suggests a contempt for
human values that is truly
disconcerting. I do not wish to
sound overly dramatic here, but
this fundamental attitude seems
like the sort of thing that
would be going on with a rapist
or a serial murderer. That is, the
psychology of entitlement mixed with sadism. Sharon has a clever
sense of the weaknesses of others,
as many sociopaths do. Combine
this with her skills as an
actress (such as they are) and her
abuse of ideas and methods--
and you have one very dangerous

To deconstruct people like this, get and read an article by Stanley Rosenman. This article describes a process by which perpetrators inflict shock upon their targeted prey, and when the prey's boundaries are disrupted, the perpetrator injects toxic shards of their own miserable cores *into* their prey. It is not just mind rape--it is impregnation by material from one's abuser.
Then, according to Rosenman, the shaken and shattered prey tries to get a sense of agency and often, in a state of shock and disorientation is seduced by the mind raping perpetrator cult leader to *parent* the charming wounded child in the perpetrator and to disown how betrayed and used one feels.
Very often perps will shatter us, then turn pathetic and charming and needy and con us into parenting them and feeling sorry for them right after theyve fucked us over.
Then, all too often the toxic stuff injected into us by the perpetrator over-rides our own experience of being used.
Perps may also target us for attack right as they sense that we are about to outgrow them.

The student who was the gift presenter looked amazed and distressed, adn tried gently to "correct" her a couple of times - poor fool, who had been around so long, should have known better - she blew up at him and shriveled what was left of his testicles. BUT she possesses a great deal of a kind of animal cunning and real charisma, which combined to her psychopathic self-interest, give her a talent for discovering people's emotional weaknesses and exploiting them.

People do see it - they do get out the mills of God grind slow but they grind exceedingly small, and each escaped victim is a universe of preserved soul. The more we expose, the more the truth will out, and all of that. And it's truly therapeutic. I left a decade ago in full but stunned consciousness of what they truly were. I was part of a wave of people who first stood up and actually "broke the rules" and supported each other and blindly felt our way to restoring our individual lives and happiness. IT DOES NOT ENDANGER YOUR IMMORTAL SOUL TO TALK TO PEOPLE FROM "SCHOOL". IN fact, it is immensely helpful to process the reality of your own experience, reconcile what you achieved there for yourself with the abuse, and with the sense of loss, and to acceptance of all parts of that phase of your life. New people coming out need to be encouraged so they can get help dealing with their psychological and emotional pain -

Your analysis of Sharon is
perfect.. it hurts to admit
that I continued to be
taken by that educationally
challenged hustler. She could
hustle, though. She took Rosie
O'Donnel, who I imagine is a
tough cookie. Rick Ross told me that he participated largely
in exposing the orphanage scam
and may have cost Sharon her
Academy Award.
Lately I hear little of the awful
armtwister Fred Mindel. He was
a perfect thug. And is Klein
expanding his empire?
I am very glad to hear that my

Yeah, Joe is some Wall Street guy. He's just a Wall Street guy who supports Sharon. Her apartment is in his name. He bought several large expensive properties upstate that they use for CR (Country Retreat) after they left Pawling. He gives financial advice to a lot of Sharon's students. He employs some of Sharon's students. He is in very very deep. When you are in deep, you are in deep emotionally, spiritually, financially, etc...
The idea of Wall Street having connections to this group is stranger than fiction. I googled this guy, since I heard his name before and I see that he manages several large funds. Do you mean to tell me that the group's funds are being invested by him ? which teachers does he employ ? somebody should write a novel on this... thanks!

Vis a vis Rick Ross and the oscar - actually, that he "cost her the oscar" is his fantasy, and hers as well - she demonized all of the "roptters" who left and tried to expose her hypocrisy. BUT..
The Academy sends out ballots months before the oscars. By the time the film was exposed, the count was in. Sharon's little vanity movie lost because it sucked. The Academy isn't going to do something like pull a film a week before the awards because somebody writes a letter denouncing it, or because a "cult expert' gets some inches in the NY Post.
Rick is a perfectly nice guy does a lot of good. However, he has never had the experience of being in a mind control cult, and he is professional - i.e. he's one of minority of people involved with this type of thing who makes his living from it. I dont' blame him for that - just he likes the business the attention and PR bring him. His website provides a valuable service and I support him, with a grain of salt.
Listen, the truth is that whatever they tell people inside about what the people outside are doing, don't buy it - they dont' know anything. They make guesses and then turn them into assertions through accusations. They have no clue what any of us are doing or thinking or who did what and how things happen - they're just doing damage control, trying to piss out a five alarm fire.
I understand, from excellent sources, that Sharon the Hut is HATED by the staff at the plaza.
